Direct Install Metal Free Microduct assemblies consist of a number of microducts with an inner low friction surface and is another way to deploy blown fiber optic infrastructure ducting pipe. It involves installation of sub-duct into an existing ducting pipe. This method is usually chosen when the environment is considered as brown field, the outer sheath is made of PE, providing excellent protection from the physical environment.


Overview:
Direct Install Metal Free “DIMF” Microduct Assemblies consist of tubes with a smooth or ribbed inner surface that enables an air blown installation of micro cables. The micro ducts are sheathed with one layer without moisture barrier. It provides excellent protection from the physical environment withstanding significant amount of pressure by pulling, and it is easy to branch off for network expansion.
Direct Install Metal Free duct is for installation duct and sub duct. This product will install in the existed infrastructure to maximize DIMF advantage which helps to block the water from the extreme wet soil condition. It is recommended to earth regular interval with use metal free or aluminum products.
Application:
The tight protected duct assemblies consist of a number of microducts with an inner low friction, antistatic surface that enables installation of air blown fibers unit cable. The duct assemblies are bundled with a single HDPE sheath depending on configuration. The design makes the duct assemblies especially suitable for installation into narrow existing ducts (pipes) or pipes occupied with cables or other obstacles.
